We woke up that morning to the sun shining brightly, just a bit of a Texas cool front…the perfect conditions for a wedding day. When we arrived, I felt the sun smiling down on us. This was going to be a good day.
Abby greeted me with her contagious smile, and a hug, and we could not wait to capture her day! The venue choice was superb, gardens surrounding a beautiful indoor pavilion with natural light that made this photographers heart swell! As we scouted the area for the perfect spot, we came across a sweet little shed with a sign on it that stated the shed had been made with repurposed wood from a homestead built in 1880! And the choice was made. It was the perfect backdrop to this rustic fall wedding.
The Ceremony began, and the room filled with the air of anticipation as Abby walked out towards her groom. A smile on her face, as she looked onto Morgan, who was waiting patiently for her to arrive into his arms, excitement and joy on his face. Their written vows stated in a quiet moment together, the eagerness of their journey just beginning.
“laugh with you, and comfort you when life seems easy and when it seems hard” ~ excerpt from Abby & Morgan’s vows
Being a Wedding Photographer is such an honor, we are there for one of the most important days in your lives. We love that we are trusted with this once in a lifetime day, and absolutely adore getting to spend this time with our couples. It’s so fun to get to know new people, but its even more of an honor when someone you have known and loved and done life with trusts you enough to have you as their photographer! Abby is one of these special brides for me. Abby and I served at church together for years, and we even traveled to Uganda together! She has such a heart for the Lord and for serving others. She will also go down as my most punctual bride ever!! We were not only on time, but we were early!! Guys…this NEVER happens! But if you know Abby, then you aren’t surprised! Not only was she early, but cool as a cucumber the whole time! Going with the flow, and enjoying every minute of her wedding day!
Morgan is quiet and reserved, but oh so sweet with Abby. He came up to us multiple times to ask if we needed anything! On his wedding day, he was trying to serve us! I have loved getting to see Abby with Morgan. He looks at her and you know he loves her and will care for her dearly. I am so thankful they found each other!
Abby & Morgan, thank you so much for allowing us to serve you and your family! You were a blessing to us!
