Because a lot of our couples live out of town, we sometime don’t get to meet face to face until their engagement session! This isn’t to say that we don’t talk/Facetime/Skype etc But meeting someone in person is such a different experience.
Katie + Will were one of these couples! Katie had been doing an internship (she worked with CSI, and basically lived out the show in real life!), and Will is working in the town of San Angelo. Since there is some distance, we “met” via Facetime!
These two were so fun to talk to, I knew our time together at their Engagement Session would be perfect! They assured me they were both awkward picture takers, and I assured them that I would make a fool out of myself if necessary!
We started the day meeting at the Century Tree on the Texas A&M Campus. This tree is rich in history and has special meaning for those couples that are TAMU graduates and Aggies. One tradition states that if you walk under the tree with your sweetheart, that you will be together forever…but on the flip side of that, if you walk under it alone you will remain alone forever!
These two had never walked under the tree before, I loved getting to be a part of this little tradition, as they took their first steps under those hallowed branches.
After that, we walked thru campus finding spots of beautiful architecture to use as a backdrop. We had planned to end the campus part of the session at the Administration Building, however it was under construction. So we said Oh Well, and headed over to Research Park!
As we arrived, the sun was literally perfect! Not a cloud in the sky, making that gorgeous golden sun absolutely stunning. Katie had changed into a floral hi-low dress that I adored! There is something about a floral pattern on a flowy dress that is always flattering! I love it when my brides wear dresses with patterns to their sessions! It makes my heart skip a beat!
Katie + Will listening to you two giggle, and then a moment later gaze into each others eyes, or melt into one anothers arms was a joy. I loved every moment of your session, and I cannot wait for your Wedding!
