Summer Wedding at The Barn BCS

This couple is so near and dear to me. It’s always fun the way your life plays out, the people you meet, the small moments that end up being much bigger than you even knew.

A few years back, when I was still a Newborn Photographer (yup! I used to love to photograph brand new babes! I mean don’t get me wrong, you hand me a baby today and I will gladly hold it for as long as you will let me! Have I mentioned I love babies…oh I have??? Ok well just to reiterate, I love babies! Haha!!), the sweet mama of the little guy I was photographing brought her sister. Nothing major, my clients brought family members regularly!

But now, years later, this same sister was contacting me about her son’s upcoming wedding.

To be trusted with the honor of capturing these Once in a Lifetime moments is already such an incredible feeling, but then to know that someone met you once, then years later still thought of you…I can think of no greater compliment.

I met with Jadie & Jason, and instantly fell in love with them! They are so young, but so full of life. They live in New Braunfels, which BTW is one of our fave places to go during the summer, I mean who can beat the river and Schliterbauhn?! (don’t know what I mean…you are MISSING OUT! Google it NOW!).

So once it was official, we planned their Engagement session at a gorgeous park, with water flowing thru it, then off to Gruene to end the evening we went.

During that session I just loved getting to know the two of them. Jadie has the most infectious giggle, and Jason is so kind and loving. These two are just precious.

The day of their Wedding, Jadie and Jason were so adorable. Jadie getting ready with her mother, just so excited and calm. Ready to be a wife. Jason was giddy with delight that the day finally arrived. The day he would finally be able to call Jadie his wife.

Their Wedding was perfect.

When they had their First Dance as Husband and Wife…I got a little choked up. They giggled and had fun with it, but in between the silly moments, there was the stolen glance of deep love between them. Excitement for what they were about to embark on. There was not a glimmer of hesitation, but only complete exhilaration for what was to come.

Jason is currently at Basic Training with the Army. We are so proud to know him, and so thankful for his and Jadie’s service to our Country.

Jason & Jadie, thank you so much for giving us the honor of being your Wedding Photographers! We adore you both and are so happy for you!

We cannot wait to witness your lives and what you will accomplish together.

Danielle + Eric’s Private Texas Ranch Engagement Session // Brenham, TX

I’ve wanted to blog Danielle + Eric’s Engagement Session for a couple of months now? and as you can see I am just now getting to it. Well good things come to those who wait, cause this session was INCREDIBLE!!

When Danielle + Eric told me they wanted to take their Engagement Session pictures on his parents land out in Brenham, I said sign me up! I love getting to go to a new, raw piece of land and see what it has to offer me.

These two were dressed perfectly head to toe, and kudos to Danielle for choosing a blush colored dress…my fave color!! And it goes so perfectly with the gorgeous green tones that the land had. Eric was dressed so dapper, and was the perfect gentleman. Y’all I don’t know how I get so lucky with my clients! These two were naturals, taking direction so easily and effortlessly. They fit together perfectly, and giggled and swooned equally.

And HELLO check out the ring! I have been partial to oval cut diamonds for years!! They are so gorgeous! And it looks amazing on her finger;) We also included a shot of Eric’s Aggie Ring, around here that ring is a huge accomplishment and an honor to possess.

Danielle + Eric, I absolutely loved working with you during your Engagement Session, and cannot wait for your Wedding!

An EARLY morning proposal at The Kettle // College Station, TX

When Paul contacted me to ask if I would be available for a proposal at The Kettle…my initial reaction was HECK YEA!! If you know me at all, you probably know there is a heated debate in our home over which is better: The Kettle or IHOP. I still maintain that the Kettle is where it’s at. It’s the best spot to go to satisfy those late night pancake cravings, and/or bacon cheese fries (give me all the ranch!!). And while it may be a little diner, it holds many memories for me…so it will ALWAYS beat out IHOP!

I immediately wrote back telling him I thought it was a fabulous idea and I was down!

There was just one catch. He wanted me to be there at 2am in the morning (because lets be honest, that’s when most of us were really hittin up good ole Kettle!). They would go to Harry’s, dance the night away and end it at the Kettle where they first met.

That day I took a nap to ensure I would be ready to go! And I just stayed awake, afraid I wouldn’t hear my alarm, which we all know is a very real possibility with me! I like my sleep!

I stayed up, headed to the Kettle and drank my weight in coffee while I waited.

Paul texted as he and Allie headed my way, and when he got there I feel like we played it off so well! I totally pretended not to know them and he did the same. They sat a few booths ahead of me and on the other side so I would have a good view.

Then he texted me that he would be doing it when the drinks came out…literally 10seconds after I got the text the drinks came out! Haha! I don’t think he was expecting that!

But he played it off well, and I could hear him start to tell her how much he loved her and I knew it was about to go down!

I had my equipment by my side with my hand on my camera ready to pull it out, I was SO NERVOUS for him! When he pulled the ring out I started shooting!

It was so perfect!

Allie you have a gem of a fiancé in Paul, and Paul she is a doll! I wish you both the absolute best of luck! Congrats again on your engagement, and thank you for choosing me to be there for this amazing moment in your lives!

Jayme + Brad, Moore Ranch on the Brazos Wedding // Millican, TX

The sky was a dark blue, and lit up intermittently with a stroke of lighting. A cool breeze blew thru the ceremony area, which was a welcome relief on this late August Wedding Day for Jayme & Brad.
I stood at the front, near Jayme’s grandmother, chatting about Jayme as a child, and waiting for the guests to take their seat so the ceremony could begin. I loved looking down to see a beautiful bouquet in the seat where Jayme’s mother would have been. It was obvious that she was so loved, and dearly missed. This tribute was such a sweet thing to see.

Almost at once, the crowd began to take their seats, drinks in hand, ready to witness these two begin the incredible journey into marriage.
The groomsmen marched to the front, Brad leading the way with a grin that could only be explained by his utter joy in what was about to take place.
The bridesmaids walked down, one at a time. The flower girl and ring bearer made their way up the aisle. Her, meticulously dropping one petal at a time, and he a little scared still made it down the aisle.

The music changed. The crowd rose. There she was.

Brad, couldn’t hold his tear back. One of my most favorite things is seeing the groom so incredibly happy to watch his bride walk down the aisle.
Jayme pranced her way down, so eager to get to Brad! It was a true representation of her. Fun, excited, full of life and laughter! She giggled, as she seemed to hold herself back from running.
They said their vows, interrupted only by laughter as they joked with each other. The rings were placed on their fingers and the whole ceremony was sealed with a kiss.

The rest of the evening was a blur of dancing, eating and drinking! The toasts were unforgettable, with a dance by the bridesmaids!

The whole day was incredibly fun, and Chris and I had a blast! Jayme & Brad we loved you guys and are so excited for your adventure in marriage to begin!!
