At every Wedding, one of my favorite parts of the Wedding Day is toast time…

We may think we have a good idea of who our couples are prior to their Wedding Day, but when the closest people in their lives get up and give a toast about them, you are allowed into deeper places. Memories that they don’t just bring up in conversation. Character traits that they wouldn’t brag on themselves about.

What did I learn about Courtney & Bobby…

Courtney is fiercely loyal and kind. Bobby will be there for you no matter what…and he has lots of hobbies with a bit of an obsessive personality haha!

One of my favorite quotes was when everyone was agreeing with Bobby’s cousin as he talked about one of the many hobbies he had, Courtney, without skipping a beat said “BOBBY’S HOBBIES!” I laughed so hard during those speeches!

They were endearing and exactly what these speeches were meant to be.

I loved hearing Courtney’s sister talk about how they talk on the phone daily…even when there is nothing to say. It’s those little things that give you a sneak peek into who these two people really are.

These personality traits are beautiful and wonderful, and I hope they remember those toasts long after the Wedding Day. For those days when they might not feel like the other has much to offer them…I hope they remember all the wonderful things that were said about each other and choose to always think the best of one another for the rest of their life.

That is what Marriage should be.

Working together, and ALWAYS thinking the best of the other.

Their Wedding Day was wonderful. It was a bit warm, but that’s to be expected in Texas! The sun shone brightly and the Venue, Moffit Oaks, was a gorgeous backdrop to work with.

They danced and had so much fun! And just like that it was midnight, and the evening came to an end.

Courtney & Bobby, thank you so much for having us there to capture your Wedding Day. We were truly honored and just adore you both. We hope you are having a blast in Cabo!!

Vi + Jason The Springs Event Venue South Hall Wedding // Magnolia, TX

A Stunning Woodland Wedding, Magnolia TX

The first time I met Vi was during a Facetime meeting. At that time we were still livin’ it up in the 5^th Wheel, and I distinctly remember having to tell our children to be quiet so I wouldn’t get interrupted (no worries they did! Haha!). Despite all of that, we hit it off and I was so excited to be her Wedding Photographer!

We began making plans, including their Engagement Session. Vi & Jason live in Dallas, but were planning their Wedding in Houston for the convenience of their family who lives there.
For their Engagement Session however, we decided to plan it close to them!
They really wanted to do their session at the Japanese Botanical Gardens and we couldn’t wait!
This is where we met Jason for the first time. And y’all, it was clear from moment one that this boy was SMITTEN by his sweet Bride to be! The nuzzle was strong with this one!
After their Engagement Session we all went to dinner, and we had so much fun getting to know them even more and just knew we were going to have a blast at their Wedding.

Their Wedding Day finally arrived and when we got to The Springs South Hall we were in awe of their gorgeous grounds!
Vi was a perfect RDP Bride and had her bag of details all ready for me…y’all from her amazing Invitation Suite (from Shutterfly!) that included Wax Seals/Stamp, to her stunning Jewelry and Florals I was in Photographer heaven!
Getting to photograph the details of the day is always a favorite. It sets the tone for the the color story of your day, and allows me to really get a feel for what you hoped to portray.

When it came time for the Ceremony, the look on Vi’s dad’s face as he walked his baby girl down the aisle…you could see how proud he was of her. How much he adored her and how happy he was to be giving her away to such an incredibly loving man like Jason.

Jason & Vi shared personal vows and as is typical, we shed a tear or two. Sometimes the Ceremony is just beautiful and we love Weddings so it makes us tear up. But most of the time…it’s not just that it’s beautiful, but we feel like we’ve begun to get to know the couple. WE feel invested in their Marriage as well, and we feel the weight and beauty of the journey they are about to encounter. The words they shared were so honoring of each other.

Vi & Jason, I hope you continuously remember your vows throughout your life together. When times get hard (because they will! Marriage is tough!), think over those words. When times are easy, still, remember those words. Let them wash over you, to put aside all other distractions so that you can always be reminded of the Great Love Story that you are living.
We were honored to witness these moments, and wish you many more epic moments in life!

How cute was this little guy??!! He is the Bride’s nephew and just wanted to get in on the action! He was posing and all! It was so precious! We all got a good laugh at how he just quietly walked up and posed next to them!

Danielle + Eric’s Private Texas Ranch Engagement Session // Brenham, TX

I’ve wanted to blog Danielle + Eric’s Engagement Session for a couple of months now? and as you can see I am just now getting to it. Well good things come to those who wait, cause this session was INCREDIBLE!!

When Danielle + Eric told me they wanted to take their Engagement Session pictures on his parents land out in Brenham, I said sign me up! I love getting to go to a new, raw piece of land and see what it has to offer me.

These two were dressed perfectly head to toe, and kudos to Danielle for choosing a blush colored dress…my fave color!! And it goes so perfectly with the gorgeous green tones that the land had. Eric was dressed so dapper, and was the perfect gentleman. Y’all I don’t know how I get so lucky with my clients! These two were naturals, taking direction so easily and effortlessly. They fit together perfectly, and giggled and swooned equally.

And HELLO check out the ring! I have been partial to oval cut diamonds for years!! They are so gorgeous! And it looks amazing on her finger;) We also included a shot of Eric’s Aggie Ring, around here that ring is a huge accomplishment and an honor to possess.

Danielle + Eric, I absolutely loved working with you during your Engagement Session, and cannot wait for your Wedding!

Jayme + Brad, Moore Ranch on the Brazos Wedding // Millican, TX

The sky was a dark blue, and lit up intermittently with a stroke of lighting. A cool breeze blew thru the ceremony area, which was a welcome relief on this late August Wedding Day for Jayme & Brad.
I stood at the front, near Jayme’s grandmother, chatting about Jayme as a child, and waiting for the guests to take their seat so the ceremony could begin. I loved looking down to see a beautiful bouquet in the seat where Jayme’s mother would have been. It was obvious that she was so loved, and dearly missed. This tribute was such a sweet thing to see.

Almost at once, the crowd began to take their seats, drinks in hand, ready to witness these two begin the incredible journey into marriage.
The groomsmen marched to the front, Brad leading the way with a grin that could only be explained by his utter joy in what was about to take place.
The bridesmaids walked down, one at a time. The flower girl and ring bearer made their way up the aisle. Her, meticulously dropping one petal at a time, and he a little scared still made it down the aisle.

The music changed. The crowd rose. There she was.

Brad, couldn’t hold his tear back. One of my most favorite things is seeing the groom so incredibly happy to watch his bride walk down the aisle.
Jayme pranced her way down, so eager to get to Brad! It was a true representation of her. Fun, excited, full of life and laughter! She giggled, as she seemed to hold herself back from running.
They said their vows, interrupted only by laughter as they joked with each other. The rings were placed on their fingers and the whole ceremony was sealed with a kiss.

The rest of the evening was a blur of dancing, eating and drinking! The toasts were unforgettable, with a dance by the bridesmaids!

The whole day was incredibly fun, and Chris and I had a blast! Jayme & Brad we loved you guys and are so excited for your adventure in marriage to begin!!

Brittney & Trey, The Grove Houston Rooftop Wedding // Downtown Houston, TX

This couple is seriously in LOVE!! I just absolutely adored working with them! Not only are they deliriously in love with each other, but Trey sports a man-bun, and Brittney is GORGEOUS!! They both have a love of food and bourbon (after my own heart y’all!!), and you guys should follow them on Instagram @bourbonandbaconkitchen You will not regret it! As soon as our little one makes his debut, Chris and I have plans to go and enjoy some of the AMAZING dishes and bourbon they post, I’m dying to go!!!
