It was a warm June day in Texas. The sun was out in all its glory, poking thru the two century old trees as Tara and Lance said their vows.
There is something about a backyard wedding that makes my heart pitter patter. The nostalgia of being in an all to familiar place as you start the most exciting journey of your life. For this couple, Lance’s sister graciously opened her gorgeous home in Tomball Texas, and welcomed their friends and family in to witness this beautiful event.
The driveway had trees that overhung as you drove in, the backyard was beautifully decorated in a country chic with antiques and heirlooms incorporated. It was a perfect setting.
The dress…this is probably one of my favorite parts of the day. Is to see the bride in her gown of choice. Each one is different, each bride chooses something that they think represents them, they see it and their heart leaps. Tara’s dress did not disappoint. The delicate lace, the low back, which are two of my favorites in a Wedding Dress. The train was just long enough, and she topped it off in the perfect Texas way…with boots!
Her groom was just as debonaire in his Cowboy Hat and boots! Lance is definitely a good ol boy. A Police Officer by trade, with a Marine background…you definitely feel safe around him! The two of them together, y’all they are a stunning couple!
It was so fun to see them in their element. To see their friends, Lance’s Marine buddies, and Tara’s sweet friends that traveled from afar to witness this day! They are so loved!
The whole evening was full of laughter and joy. The band played while everyone danced the night away! Chris and I talked about how much we enjoyed these two and that we were sad their day was coming to an end! This meant we wouldn’t see them or talk to them nearly as much…From the moment we first met Tara & Lance we felt a kinship! These two are so fun! They both smile constantly, telling jokes and making everyone around them laugh! But then Lance gives Tara a look, and you can see she melts into him. This is when my “job” doesn’t seem like a job. When my clients become friends…this is what I strive for!
Tara & Lance, we have loved getting to know you, your joy is contagious and your hearts are so pure. Thank you for choosing us, thank you for your friendship. May we continue to be friends! We can’t wait to have dinner with y’all again!
