a gorgeous bridal session at the venue on church street, and goliad state park
I’ve said it before, I’ll say it again…I’ll say it till I’m blue in the face!
I LOVE BRIDAL SESSIONS!
And you should too!!
The chance to get some quality time with the Bride all dolled up, where we aren’t restricted by a timeline…yes puhleeese!!
Brides, this is your chance to take the time to capture THE dress! The one that, when you saw yourself for the first time in, made you cry tears of joy knowing you would become a WIFE wearing this stunning gown.
You may remember Amber + Cody from their engagement session at here at TAMU. They are both Aggies, and we had a BLAST walking around campus talking and taking pictures.
For Amber’s Bridal Session, we started at The Venue on Church Street, where her and Cody just said their I do’s this weekend. After that we headed to the Goliad State Park, where Amber had been dreaming of doing her Bridal Session since she was a little girl!
The park is just beautiful, and the gorgeous Historic Missions were the perfect setting to end her Bridal Session.
She looked absolutely beautiful in her dress from All About The Dress. It was gorgeous, and I just love how the dress was dripping with lace. It fit her like a glove. Her Kendra Scott earrings went perfect with her dress!
Her bouquet from HEB Blooms, was the perfect finishing touch to add a touch of color!
For my friends not from the South wondering…
“What the heck is a Bridal Session?!”
Y’all are missing out if you aren’t doing Bridal Session!! I have had several of my good friends, from the North, seem so surprised by the concept. And that surprises me!!
A Bridal Session is a session specifically for capturing the Bride in her dress all dolled up (bouquet optional, but gosh I recommend it!). The Bridal Session enables the Bride to test out her hair & makeup, make sure the dress with all the under things work well;) Furthermore, it gives her the opportunity to get portraits of her in the dress STRESS FREE! (Because let’s be honest, the Wedding Day comes with a certain amount of stress, even if it isn’t that bothersome, being restrained by a timeline restricts what we can do!)
In addition to all of this, we can go to multiple locations (this session is case in point!) and who doesn’t want the opportunity to wear their Wedding Dress more?!
Then, for a Southern Bride, this enables her to order Bridal Portraits to have at the Reception! Almost all of my brides order at least one large portrait to have at the Reception, and that portrait normally then hangs in her Momma’s living room!
I LOVE this tradition. To get a sneak peek at the dress before the Wedding Day is a huge perk for me! Getting to connect with the bride one more time is also a huge plus;) I adore my brides!
Amber you were BREATHTAKING in that gown!
