Ashley & Luke’s beautifully elegant Farmhouse Wedding in Magnolia, TX
Ashley’s dad stood up to welcome the crowd of people who had gathered to celebrate Ashley & Luke’s marriage. Then he told everyone to get their phones out. To go to Ashley’s name in their contact list, and officially change her last name. He then told them to go to their calendar. To add this date as their Wedding Date and put it on repeat yearly…for all time.
He spoke with pride and love as he gushed over what a good man Luke was, and how happy he was that Ashley and he had found one another.
It was one of the sweetest Dad speeches I had heard. I hope and pray that we feel this much joy and elation when our daughters marry!
I could write a book about Ashley & Luke. Their incredible service to our church, and specifically our children. The commitment to each other, but more importantly the Lord. They have kind and generous hearts. They each have separate but equally incredible talents (he is a fantastic barber, like guys if you don’t have one, you need to go see him! Chris and Harrison both go to him, and he never disappoints! She is an amazing artist studying to be an architect, she even designed and hand drew the invitation and artwork for it!).
These two have been a big part of our lives over the last few years. And it all started with a picnic to celebrate our dear friends birthday (whom by the way coordinated this wedding!!).
I got all googly eyed at the gorgeousness that is Ashley’s ring (specially designed by Luke!), and asking her details about her plans. She said she was getting married at The Farmhouse, and I just knew she had to have already found a photographer so I didn’t say anything. But thankfully my friends piped in and told her I was a Wedding Photographer!
It wasn’t too long after that that we met with both of them and just like that we were their photographers.
One of the joys of having this business, is getting to be there for some of the most important moments in a couples lives. We were thrilled to be able to witness the sweet and tender moments of their ceremony, and then in stark contrast the crazy fun and loud reception where they CELEBRATED with their friends and family! It was the kind of party you want to be at! Everyone dancing their hearts out, so excited for these two who are going to do BIG things in this world.
Ashley & Luke, we just adore you guys. We couldn’t be more honored to be the ones to capture your day. We wish you all the blessings in your new marriage!
