Malorie & Scott’s Spring Peach Creek Ranch Wedding
Malorie & Scott’s Lovely Spring Wedding at Peach Creek Ranch in College Station, TX
THE PROPOSAL
It all begins with a great proposal story… right?? Scott had originally planned to propose to Malorie at Messina Hoff Winery, but Mal got called into work, and Scott had to move to plan B! He didn’t want to wait any longer to propose, so he ended up asking her to marry him that same night, at their apartment!
THE PLAN
It was important to Malorie and Scott to plan a simple wedding centered around them and their loved ones. They chose a color scheme centered around navy blue and lavender- their favorite colors! Peach Creek Ranch checked all their boxes for a rustic wedding venue, and they loved the packages Peach Creek offers that include onsite accommodations for the bridal party.
Mal said “YES to the dress!!” to a dreamy Hayley Paige gown that she lucked out on finding at Coreena’s Bridal, right in College Station. The dress fit her like a glove right off the rack, and she was able to take her gown home that same day! Scott was decked out in a blue suit from Men’s Warehouse, and complimented Mal’s gown perfectly.
THE DAY
Kim at Willow Lane Florals brought their color palette to life with her beautiful floral design for the bridesmaids bouquets, boutonnieres, and florals for the table. She even did a gorgeous design on the outside arch, directly above where Malorie and Scott tied the knot! They wrote their own vows to each other, and watching them share their love and excitement for their future together was definitely the highlight of the day…not to mention they’re Officiant was dressed as Obi-Wan Kenobi!
Mal, her bridal party and her parents enjoyed putting together all their decor on their own. It was so special to Mal that she was able to include her family and friends in this important time in her life. It was even more special that she was able to look around on her wedding day and see how they brought everything together- she describes it as a true labor of love! The DJ, Krystn Locke with CS Music/Locked ‘n Loaded Entertainment who did their wedding was also a close family friend, and knew exactly how to mix their playlist that had so many different types of music.
Fuego Tortilla Grill catered their special day, and the guests loved the chips, queso, and tacos! Their cake was absolutely to die for- a three-tier made by Truly Scrumptious Cake Shoppe with vanilla, white almond, and pink champagne flavors. Can you say YUM?!!
The night went on with Mal & Scott dancing their hearts out surrounded by their family and friends, ending with a private last dance before their super fun sparker grand exit!
BRIDES ADVICE
Mal’s advice to future brides? “Enjoy yourself. It’s stressful, but always include your groom and try to enjoy planning the most magical night of your life together!”

Hayley & Luke’s Hawaiin Wedding // Oahu, HI
Hayley & Luke’s Hawaiin Wedding on the Island of Oahu, HI
It’s been over a year since this Wedding day…but I’m missing the islands something BADDDD today and I thought you might like a little Island break as well;)
I first met Hayley when she was a Bridesmaids for one of my sweet Brides, Aleyda (who was at this Wedding too)!
When Hayley & Luke got Engaged, she contacted me to do Engagement portraits…she knew she wanted a Destination Wedding in Hawaii and figured she would find someone there.
I quickly talked her into bringing me along haha!!
And I am SO GLAD I did!
Luke & Hayley are just the sweetest souls. And getting to work with them was a JOY!
We looked forward to this Wedding for more than one reason tho…another being that Chris (my hubby) lived on the Island of Oahu throughout his elementary and into his highschool years and he hadn’t been back since they moved away. He was so excited to get to go with me, and check out his old stomping grounds. We even got to meet up with one of his friends from middle school!
Hayley & Luke got ready in Waikiki and that’s where we met up with them on their Wedding day. Once they were ready we all got into transport they had arranged with Executive Chauffeur Hawaii and headed over to Waimanalo to where Amy from All Things Planned had gotten the beach Wedding ready!
Their Ceremony was on a gorgeous sunny day, with their closest friends and family there as witnesses.
After their Ceremony we did a few portraits on the beach and worked alongside an amazing husband/wife Videography team Mayberry Multimedia who are local to Oahu and made us feel so welcome! We really enjoyed working with them.
After we all got in the transport again and headed back to Waikiki to get on a dinner cruise for their Reception.
It was such a fun way to end the night! There was great food, toasts, dancing and a beautiful sunset with the Waikiki skyline on one side and the sunset against the gorgeous Hawaiin waters on the other…it was a beautiful end to a beautiful day.
Hayley & Luke, I know this is coming a bit late (SORRY!) but I hope you relive your day thru this post and it let’s you fall in love all over again!
Belated Welcome to the Married Kids Club!!
xoxo, Rach

When should you book your Bridal Session…
The Bridal Session and how to know when to get it on your photographers schedule.
Booking your Bridal Session can get complicated and I get asked the question “When should I book my Bridal Session?” A LOT! So let’s dig into the details of how and when to schedule your Bridal Session.
PRINTS OR CANVAS
First things first… will you be ordering Prints or Canvas? And will you be framing if you order prints?
I’ll speak to ordering thru me, there are alternatives that you can research…
If ordering prints, it takes roughly 3-6 business days (if having them shipped to you, no more than 3 days if shipped to me and picked up). This is our most flexible option. We could do your session as little as 3 weeks out with this option.
Every print ordered from me that is a 5×7 or larger is printed on a matboard, this is to make it sturdy and very unlikely to tear or break. It fits in any frame like this as well. I’ve even had brides order a large 20×24 Bridal portrait and put just the print on an easel…it is that sturdy!
FRAMING
HOWEVER…
If you choose the print route and want to frame it well then it can get a bit more complicated!
Choosing a standard sizing for prints will allow you to just pick up a beautiful print from your preferred store (even Michael’s or Hobby Lobby work).
*Standard Size examples are 8×10, 11×14, 16×20, 20×24 etc
If you are considering a non standard size, maybe to reduce the cropping necessary (straight out of camera the images are a 4×6 ratio, so when choosing a standard size frame you have to keep in mind the cropping that will need to be done in order to fit your frame), you’ll need to special order your frame and research the time it will take to arrive.
You could also go the professional framing route!
If you go this route (Hobby Lobby does this but we also have a few professional framing companies in town and who doesn’t like to #supportlocal by buying small?!) it can take up to 6 weeks.
Here are a few local to the Bryan/College Station area to look into:
Laura’s Custom Framing
Myra’s Gallery & Custom Framing
The Frame Gallery
CANVAS
Another great option is Canvas Prints. When you order your portraits on Canvas you don’t have to worry about framing if you don’t want (Framed Canvas is a thing!). They come mounted and ready to hang, and are easily displayed with an easel.
Canvas takes roughly 10 business days to arrive so another fairly quick solution!
Now that you’ve got your print medium chosen, this should help you decide when you absolutely need to have your gallery back from me.
Bridal Sessions typically last an hour, and takes me up to two weeks to get your gallery to you. So when thinking about scheduling, take into account the time it will take to get your gallery delivered + order your portraits.
Picking out your Wedding Dress is one of the most fun experiences! And your Wedding Dress boutique + alterations will be able to tell you when your dress should be ready. Once you know that date, let’s get it on the books! The calendar fills up quickly so the sooner we get it on the better, I never want you to have to feel rushed or choose a different type of portrait than you originally wanted due to lack of available dates.
