Her Father’s Wedding toast began like most do. Joyful welcoming of his new Son-in-Law, loving wishes of blessing, an insightful story or two that made the crowd laugh…but halfway in, this toast took on a new life. He began to talk about wishbones. How he had one for them, and he wanted to rig the game a bit so that they would both get their wish, then explained how to do the wishbone. Then he turned to the crowd and said, “Paige was the youngest of three. Before she came along I was happy, a daughter and a son, you would think I felt fulfilled. But I longed for another child.” He told them that one thanksgiving he won the wishbone, and his wish…for another child. “Paige was born later that year”, with tears beginning to well up he pulled out one half of a wish bone, “and I’ve saved it all this time.” The room was quiet with emotion, not a dry eye found. He continued “Now, take the wishbone I just gave you, I want for you to both wish for the same thing, thus rigging the game ensuring your wish comes true.” and with that they broke the wishbone, and he toasted to their happiness.
This was just one of the beautiful things that we witnessed at this amazing Wedding. Paige & Brad were surrounded all day by wonderful loving people.
We loved getting to capture their whole day, from the little details to the fun party where their friends danced the night away!
Paige & Brad, we are so incredibly happy for you two. We wish a lifetime of happiness for you both and hope that you will always remember this day as a beautiful start to your marriage journey!
