As they gazed into each others eyes, singing Auld Lang Syne, the whole world seemed to disappear. The countdown ended, they kissed, and just like that they were starting the New Year as husband and wife…
Tressie & James’ wedding was anything but ordinary. The two of them have big personalities, a ton of amazing friends and an appetite for life that is all too rare. So it made perfect sense that their wedding was to take place New Years Eve! From the time I had our first conversation, I knew this wedding was going to be incredible. They had big plans that included festivities till the New Year, fun things for the kids to enjoy, and to top it off…real BIG fireworks!!
The day went perfectly. From the First Looks (both Father/Daughter and Bride/Groom), to the incredible sunset we were blessed with. Their Ceremony was beautiful and perfect, with intimate moments of worship music, reading of the Word of God to the Blessings prayed over them. But what sticks out to me is the end of the Ceremony…The Kiss. The moment these two locked lips, FIREWORKS literally started going off!! It was a moment we won’t soon forget!
These two planned a party that was hoppin all night long! I will tell you, most weddings have attendance dwindle towards the end of the night. Not this wedding! There was still a huge crowd to Ring in the New Year with these two, dancing their hearts out and celebrating the New Year! We all kissed (yep Chris and I too!) as the countdown concluded, and not long after made our way outside to watch the firework show. The last moments, as the fireworks were going off, I watched the two of them embrace each other. They looked at each other with love and excitement. I hope they remember the exact moments, for years to come, when fireworks were going off to celebrate their love.
Tressie & James, we were honored to serve you, and to capture the beginning of an incredible journey that you two have embarked on!
