One of the most common thing I hear with newly engaged brides… “I didn’t realize there were so many details!”
Yup! Planning a Wedding can be overwhelming. It’s a lot of work to plan one of the biggest events of your life!
Well, I’m not here to talk to you about all that (although I can recommend some AMAZING Wedding Coordinators who could help you tremendously), what I AM here to talk to you about… the Details you need to prepare for your photographer.
Sorry to add one more thing to your to do list. But it’s oh so worth it!

Did you know that your photographer would LOVE for you to have a few things ready specifically for Detail Shooting time??
You know the shots. The ones you see on Pinterest, Instagram or on this blog! The gorgeous ring shots with florals all around, or the Invitation Suite (invitation, envelopes…basically everything you sent to your guests). Do you want those types of images in your final gallery? Would you love for your photographer to be able to get your wedding published?? Then knowing and having it all ready is the only way to make that happen!

But let’s take it a bit further, now that you know what to have ready for your photographer (ME!!!!) lets talk about organization!
By organization, I mean, how should you have it ready for me when I arrive on site the day of your wedding??
I gotta tell ya, I LOVE it when I walk into a getting ready room and there is a bag/box ready with all the goods all tucked in there! This does so many things.
One: Saving your Getting Ready Time. I’ve had it happen more times than I can count, I arrive and then the bride/bridesmaids are scrambling to get all of the things from 10 different bags. Or they can’t find a piece and they have to spend a good 5-10min searching. The last thing I want is to disrupt your time! I recommend getting it all together at the very least the night before! Don’t wait till the day of, there is way too much going on!
Paper Products: Minted
Two: Efficient use of my shooting time. When it is ready to go, it allows me to come in and say hi, hug your neck and grab it all in one swoop and get started. Shooting details can be time consuming. You may think, Rachel it’s just a few paper products, rings and shoes. Why do you need an hour to shoot all of these things??
Styling.
Styling your things can be a process! I want to begin to create a story for your whole day. I want you to have gorgeous images of your precious details. Things that mean the most to you, the things most people at your wedding may not even realize. Like your Grandmothers brooch hooked onto your bouquet, your mothers ring, or any special token that means the world to YOU.
They may seem like insignificant details, but after it’s all said and done, you will want to remember all the little things.
