Caitlyn & Dustin’s beautiful Destin Bay House, Destination Wedding in Destin, FL
As photographers we always have goals to achieve. When starting this journey I wondered where it would take me and what places I could see. I hoped that one day I would get to travel, see the world and photograph my favorite places with amazing people. Destination Weddings was/is always a goal.
In the last couple of years I’ve traveled to Kenya, all over Texas, and now Florida!
When Caitlyn asked me if I was available, she was thinking engagement and bridal sessions…but I quickly made sure she knew I traveled!!
I am a big believer in using this same photographer for your whole wedding journey, if you’re able to, and that’s what I told her! We met up and very quickly I knew she was a perfect RDP Bride! Her style was on point, and her destination made me swoon.
To say I was excited when her and Dustin booked me for their Florida Destination Wedding, well that would be a massive understatement!
We quickly made plans for their Engagement Session, where I got to know them a little bit better. I always love that time together.
As we planned for their wedding, we decided to make it a family vacation! Our family loves the beach, and who could resist the gorgeous beaches of Destin?!
We arrived the Thursday before their wedding, and had a good couple of days in the sun and sand.
Sunday arrived and we headed over to the gorgeous Destin Bay House. It was the perfect location for Caitlyn & Dustin’s intimate Destination Wedding, where they invited their closest friends and family to travel from afar and witness them take their vows.
The weather couldn’t have been more perfect. The sun was out, there was a breeze (read: windy! But the girls were champs!), and the view was spectacular.
The girls got ready in their adorable Bridal Cottage.
Caitlyn wanted a First Look with her daddy, and y’all…this was one of the best Daddy Daughter First Looks of my career thus far! His reaction was PRICELESS!
They also planned a Bride & Groom “First Touch”, as they held hands, she read a note to Dustin and he prayed over them and their marriage. These are such sweet moments. If you don’t want to do a First Look, this sweet alternative is a precious way to take some pressure off.
Their Ceremony was beautiful, full of love and laughter. Afterwards they partied the night away outside, under the stars. Their DJ kept the party going and the dancing didn’t stop until the party was over! We loved this fun crew, and are so happy for Caitlyn & Dustin.
Caitlyn & Dustin we wish you a lifetime of love & laughter, friendship & harmony, and all the good things life has to offer! Congrats! You’re Married!!!
