Karly & Zach’s GORGEOUS Engagement Session at Enchanted Rock in Fredericksburg, TX

Karly & Zach are an adventurous couple, and after meeting with them I knew we needed to plan something a little more adventurous for their Engagement Session!

We met for the first time at The Tipsy Bean in College Station (if you have never been there, go NOW! Good coffee AND wine which is basically my love language…ha!). We met to talk all things Wedding.
I had wanted to plan a session at Enchanted Rock for a long time, and when they said they loved the outdoors and hiking I knew they would be the perfect couple!

The day of their Engagement Session came and it was a GORGEOUS day! Not a cloud in site!
I was so excited to get to explore this amazing piece of our Texas landscape, and it did NOT disappoint.

I’ll be totally honest, this photography job of mine has pushed my limits.
Point in case…I am TERRIFIED of heights. And if you have ever hiked up Enchanted Rock, you will know that as you get to the top there is a portion that is basically straight up.
But I put on my big girl pants, sucked it up and made it happen!! I just kept telling myself “do it for the shot!” And every single time I push myself, I am beyond grateful that I did so.
I also told myself, “If Karly can do this in HEELS..” YES Karly climbed up Enchanted Rock *mostly* in her heels!

*no pain no gain* right?! Or would it be *beauty is pain* whatever, either way she’s a #bossbabe 😉

We had so much fun, finding all the beautiful spots. I loved getting to hike with them and know them better. I loved getting to experience a breathtaking sunset on the top of a very big rock, photographing their love.
