When you get engaged, and begin planning your wedding your eyes are opened to a world you hadn’t yet experienced! Most brides didn’t even realize all of the options available to choose from!
Who will be your florist, cake maker, photographer etc! Will you have custom stationary and paper products? Will you use your church or a venue for your ceremony?
Will you use a coordinator, and will you use them as a full service or day of? Is your head spinning yet??!!
SO MANY OPTIONS!
I’m here to tell you my number one recommendation for making your life 10billion times better during the planning and day of your Wedding!
HIRE. A. COORDINATOR.
I prefer a full service, but even a day of coordinator will work miracles into your wedding…I PROMISE!
I have been in weddings with no coordinator and believe you me, there are many things you will not even consider prior to the day of and the situation arising. Like when should everyone start walking down the aisle? Where should the flowers be delivered? Who finishes cutting and serving the cake? These are just the tip of the iceberg!
Then either the photographer (ahem…me!), your mother, or worse…YOU are in charge of answering questions that none of you should be answering, or completely tasks that take away from what should be your primary responsibility.
A full service coordinator can help you with everything from working with vendors, coordinating your vision to come out perfectly, and running your timeline like a ship’s captain! They are there to take phone calls, and best yet, put out fires! And on a wedding day, there will be a few fires to put out regardless of how well you think you planned! It’s a huge undertaking, and lines get crossed quite easily.
This is the party of your life, let it be just that for you! Pass off the responsibility to someone fully capable (remember they do this all the time, you are doing this for the first time)!
There are so many incredibly talented Coordinators, if you are planning a wedding, I encourage you to reach out to one and have a conversation. You may not even realize how much you need them!
